At City of Orillia Parks and Recreation Division day camps, we encourage all participants to treat others with respect and kindness throughout their time at camp. Our staff are committed to creating a safe and positive environment for everyone, and will work with participants to address any behaviours that may impact the safety and well-being of others. All participants are expected to follow our Behaviour Policy. Please review the policy in full within the Parent Handbook before attending.

DISCLAIMER: Serious behaviors may warrant an expedited response and could result in removal or suspension from program. If a participant is removed from camp for the remainder of the summer, a full refund will be provided.

Buddy Program

Participant Information

The Day Camp Buddy Program provides one-on-one support to children who may need extra assistance in our day camps, enabling and aiding them in the participation of our day camp program.

Individuals may attend any of our programs or facilities with their own external support person or personal mediator that is arranged by the participant. The City of Orillia does not arrange external support workers. The support person/facilitator will not be charged any additional fees.

External Support Persons must provide:

  • A recent Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (within 12 months of attending the program) if they are directly working with vulnerable populations other than the person they are there to support.
