Ontario’s Seniors Active Living Centre Designation

The City of Orillia is pleased to announce its official designation as part of Ontario’s Seniors Active Living Centre (SALC) program, a move that will enhance opportunities for older adults in the community to stay active, engaged, and connected.

With funding from the Government of Ontario, the City of Orillia has transitioned the Seniors at Play program into the newly established Orillia Active Living Centre (OALC). The OALC is based in the Orillia Room at the West Orillia Sports Complex (100 University Ave.), a hub for community connection and older adult focused programming. The OALC will continue to offer the popular programs that community members already enjoy while expanding to include programs such as: Tai Chi, Ukulele, and quarterly bus trips.
