Birthday Parties | City of Orillia Recreation

Make birthday celebrations simple and stress-free. Choose your activity, book your party, and let us handle the setup and clean-up—so you can focus on the fun.

Parties Include:

1.5 hours in a multi-purpose room (Plus 15 minutes set-up)
Staff facilitator and 1-hour activity of your choice
Up to 20 children ($5 per additional child)
Eco Party Package included (table coverings, compostable plates, cutlery, cups, napkins)
Downloadable invitations provided
Outside food, snacks, and cake permitted

Swimming, Kinder Gym, or Gym parties can add on access to the popcorn machine for an additional fee.

How to Book:

Submit a Birthday Party Request Form at least two weeks in advance. Bookings are on a first come, first served basis.

The Birthday Party Coordinator will contact you to finalize details. Once booked, you’ll receive your contract, waivers, and payment information - full payment and a signed contract are required immediately.

Nerf Party

Enjoy a full out Nerf battle with supplied Nerf guns, safety goggles, ammo, and obstacles in your own FIBA-sized gym! Party includes a one hour private gym rental with Nerf set up.

Details

Ages: 7+ years old

Location: Orillia Recreation Centre

Days and Times Offered: Sundays from 5pm to 7:30pm (with 15 minutes prior to set-up)

For every 10 children, 1 adult is required (with a minimum of 2 adults).

A Birthday Party attendant will be there to set up and hand out equipment, and facilitate the Nerf battle in the gymnasium.

Kinder Gym Party

Perfect for those preschoolers who love to play! Enjoy a safe and stimulating party in our preschool room with access to the gymnasium. Preschool equipment such as obstacle courses, balls, parachute, bouncy balls, etc. will be available.

Ages: 1 to 6 years old

Location: Orillia Recreation Centre

Days and Times Offered: Saturdays from 1:15pm to 3:45pm (with 15 minutes prior to set-up)

For every 10 children, 1 adult is required (with a minimum of 2 adults).

Gym Party

Enjoy a variety of gym activities with loads of cool equipment in your very own FIBA-sized gym! Party includes a one hour gym rental with equipment.

Days and Times Offered:

Saturdays from 10:15am to 12:45pm, and 11:30am to 2pm (with 15 minutes prior to set-up)
Sundays from 5pm to 7:30pm (with 15 minutes prior to set-up)

For every 10 children, 1 adult is required (with a minimum of 2 adults).

Open Swim Party

Splash, slide, and dive into swimming fun! All parties must adhere to the swim admission policy and will participate in a scheduled Open Swim.

Days and Times Offered:

Saturdays from 1:45pm to 4:15pm, and 3:15pm to 5:45pm (with 15 minutes prior to set-up)
Sundays from 11:45am to 2:15pm, and 1:15pm to 3:45pm (with 15 minutes prior to set-up)

Required Ratios:

Regardless of age, anyone may be asked to perform a swim test at the discretion of a lifeguard. If unsuccessful, they must remain in the shallow end. Review the full Pool Rules and Swim Admission Standards and learn more about the Swim Test.

Children aged 0 to 9 without lifejackets: One adult required for every 2 children
Children aged 0 to 6 with lifejackets: One adult for every 4 children
Children aged 7 to 9 with lifejackets: One adult for every 6 children
Children aged 10+ must be able to swim

Open Swim Party

From beginner to experts, this activity is great for both small and large groups. Available September through April. Participants must follow all public skating rules while participating in a scheduled skate. Helmets strongly recommended.

Saturdays from 11:15am to 1:45pm (with 15 minutes prior to set-up)
Sundays from 11:30am to 2pm, and 1:45pm to 4:15pm (with 15 minutes prior to set-up)

For every 10 children, 1 adult is required (with a minimum of 2 adults).

Rock Wall Party

If your kiddo loves climbing or bouldering, a rock climbing birthday party may be just the thing! All participants must wear closed-toe shoes and have a parent/guardian sign a waiver on their behalf.
